Islamabad, May 22, 2026: Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik held a meeting with President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Faheem ur Rehman, to discuss the country’s business environment, investment facilitation, and the prevailing energy supply situation.

During the meeting, the petroleum minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the investment climate and providing maximum facilitation to the business community. He said the government was taking practical measures to promote economic stability, encourage investment, and strengthen coordination with stakeholders.

Faheem ur Rehman appreciated the federal government’s diplomatic efforts and said Pakistan had demonstrated responsible and effective diplomacy amid the current regional situation.

He also commended the Ministry of Petroleum for ensuring continuity of energy supplies and effectively managing the situation despite disruptions caused by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

The LCCI president particularly praised Ali Pervaiz Malik for his proactive leadership and effective handling of energy-related challenges, which helped maintain stability for the industrial and commercial sectors.

During the meeting, Faheem ur Rehman also presented suggestions and proposals from the business community aimed at improving the investment environment and addressing key issues faced by industries in the country.
