Rawalpindi, May 30, 2026: Members of the Australia men’s cricket team’s management visited Pakistan’s dressing room at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday to exchange Eid-ul-Adha greetings, highlighting the spirit of friendship and sportsmanship between the two sides.
In a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Australia’s team manager was seen visiting the Pakistan dressing room and presenting national team captain Shaheen Shah Afridi with a box of sweets as a goodwill gesture ahead of the ODI series.
Following the presentation, Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan distributed the sweets among teammates and support staff, adding to the festive atmosphere.
“A warm gesture ahead of the ODI series,” the PCB said in a social media post. “Australia team manager visited the Pakistan dressing room and exchanged Eid-ul-Adha greetings.”
The exchange was widely appreciated by cricket fans as an example of the camaraderie that exists beyond on-field competition.
Australia are currently touring Pakistan for a three-match ODI series scheduled from May 30 to June 4.
The two teams last met in an ODI series in November 2024, when Pakistan secured a historic 2-1 victory in Australia — their first-ever bilateral ODI series win on Australian soil.
Earlier this year, Australia also toured Pakistan for a three-match T20 International series. Pakistan dominated the contest, registering a 3-0 clean sweep at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
The Eid-ul-Adha exchange added a festive touch to the latest chapter of the Pakistan-Australia cricket rivalry, reinforcing the mutual respect shared by the two teams both on and off the field.
