Islamabad, June 21,2026: The Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), in collaboration with the National Information Technology Board (NITB), has launched an online Birth and Death Registration service through the Pak App, enabling citizens to access essential civic services from their homes.

The new digital facility allows residents of Islamabad to submit applications for birth and death registration online, make secure digital payments, and receive official digital certificates without the need to visit MCI offices.

Speaking on the initiative, MCI Chief Officer Dr. Anam Fatima said the service is part of the corporation’s broader efforts to promote digital governance, enhance public service delivery, and reduce inconvenience for citizens.

“This citizen-centric initiative leverages technology to provide a transparent, efficient, and hassle-free registration process that is accessible anytime and anywhere,” she said.

Officials said the online platform is designed to simplify the registration process, reduce paperwork, and improve accessibility for residents seeking vital registration services.

The launch reflects the government’s commitment to modernizing public services through innovation and digital transformation. The initiative has been jointly developed by MCI and NITB as part of ongoing efforts to expand e-governance and improve citizen engagement.
