Islamabad, June 22, 2026: A delegation of minority community representatives from Punjab, led by Daud Sharif Sahotra, Focal Person to the Punjab Minister for Minority Affairs and Additional General Secretary of the PML-N Minority Wing Punjab, met with Isphanyar Bhandara to discuss issues affecting minority communities across the province.
The delegation included members of the Minority Advisory Council Punjab, namely Sajan Bhatia from Bahawalnagar, Sumbal Khokhar from Lahore, and Priyanka Koshal from Rawalpindi.
During the meeting, participants held a detailed exchange of views on matters concerning religious minorities in Punjab. The delegation shared firsthand perspectives on challenges being faced by minority communities at the grassroots level and highlighted areas requiring greater attention and policy support.
The discussion focused on community welfare, representation, social inclusion, and measures aimed at addressing concerns of minority groups in different districts of Punjab. Delegation members also presented suggestions for improving coordination between government institutions and minority communities to ensure effective implementation of welfare initiatives.
MNA Isphanyar Bhandara listened to the concerns raised by the delegation and reaffirmed his commitment to promoting the rights, welfare, and empowerment of minority communities. He appreciated the role of the Minority Advisory Council and community representatives in highlighting public issues and contributing to policy dialogue.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continue engagement and collaboration for addressing the challenges faced by minority communities and promoting greater social harmony and inclusiveness across Punjab.
