Islamabad, July 21, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday met Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, and directed him to actively pursue the implementation of understandings reached during his recent discussions with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Shanghai.
During the meeting, Dar instructed the ambassador to follow up on the outcomes of the high-level talks and work towards strengthening bilateral cooperation across key sectors.
The deputy prime minister also emphasized the importance of further advancing the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership by promoting collaboration in trade, investment, artificial intelligence, emerging technologies and other areas of mutual interest.
The meeting reviewed efforts to deepen bilateral engagement and reinforce the longstanding strategic partnership between Pakistan and China.
