Islamabad, July 22, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister and President-elect of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Khalilur Rehman, on the sidelines of the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting in Manila.
According to the Foreign Office, the two leaders reviewed the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Bangladesh relations and acknowledged the renewed momentum generated by Deputy Prime Minister Dar’s visit to Bangladesh last year.
They reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations and welcomed the growing engagement between the two countries, including increased people-to-people exchanges and improved connectivity following the launch of direct flights earlier this year.
Both sides agreed to maintain the positive momentum in bilateral cooperation and continue efforts to deepen ties across areas of mutual interest.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on regional and international developments, with the two foreign ministers discussing issues of common concern and reaffirming their commitment to continued dialogue and cooperation.
