Lahore, July 27, 2026: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday announced the squads and match schedule for the National Champions Cup, a 50-over List A tournament set to launch Pakistan’s 2026-27 domestic cricket season from August 11 to 18 at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
The seven-match competition will feature four teams — Pakistan Greens, Pakistan Whites, Pakistan Blues and Pakistan Gold — competing in a single round-robin format. The top two teams at the end of the league stage will qualify for the final on August 18.
All matches will be played as day-night fixtures at the Multan Cricket Stadium, with play scheduled to begin at 3pm local time.
According to the PCB, the tournament forms a key part of Pakistan’s preparations for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027, providing the national selection committee with an opportunity to assess players and build a strong talent pool ahead of the global event.
The four teams will be captained by leading national players, with Shaheen Shah Afridi leading Pakistan Gold, Shadab Khan captaining Pakistan Greens, Saim Ayub heading Pakistan Whites and Sahibzada Farhan taking charge of Pakistan Blues.
The PCB has named fixed playing XIs for each side, along with a 13-player reserve pool. Teams will be required to field the announced elevens throughout the tournament, with reserve players eligible to replace only injured or concussed players. The reserves will remain with their respective squads during training sessions and on match days.
Pakistan Greens: Shadab Khan (captain), Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Farhan Yousuf, Mehran Mumtaz, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Salman Mirza, Naseem Shah, Omair Bin Yousuf, Saad Baig (wicketkeeper) and Sameer Minhas.
Pakistan Whites: Saim Ayub (captain), Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Haris Rauf, Hasan Nawaz, Khushdil Shah, Mohsin Riaz, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Saad Masood, Shahzaib Khan and Usman Khan (wicketkeeper).
Pakistan Blues: Sahibzada Farhan (captain), Abdullah Shafique, Ahmed Daniyal, Arafat Minhas, Hasan Ali, Hussain Talat, Jahandad Khan, Rohail Nazir (wicketkeeper), Shamyl Hussain, Sufyan Moqim and Taimur Khan (wicketkeeper).
Pakistan Gold: Shaheen Shah Afridi (captain), Abdul Samad, Abdul Subhan, Faisal Akram, Haider Ali, Kamran Ghulam, Maaz Sadaqat, Mohammad Nawaz, Muhammad Akhlaq (wicketkeeper), Muhammad Imran and Saad Khan.
The reserve pool includes batters Tayyab Tahir, Mohammad Suleman, Mohammad Faiq and Muhammad Irfan Khan; all-rounders Mubasir Khan and Danish Aziz; pacers Arshad Iqbal, Muhammad Salman, Razaullah, Saqib Khan, Mohammad Amir Khan and Shahnawaz Dahani; and wicketkeeper Haseebullah.
