Dir Bala, July 28,2026: In a heartfelt and memorable gathering, former students of District Council Public High School Dir came together to honor their respected teachers in an emotional tribute that moved everyone present. The atmosphere was filled with respect and gratitude as old bonds of teacher-student relationships were beautifully revived.
The event saw former students bowing their heads in respect, embracing their teachers, adorning them with garlands of flowers, kissing their hands, and expressing heartfelt thanks for their lifelong dedication. For a few moments, time itself seemed to stand still as waves of reverence filled the school grounds.
This was not an ordinary ceremony but a living celebration of the sacred and pure bond between teachers and their students.
Addressing the gathering, the school’s former Principal, Sahibzada Fazlullah, spoke with pride:
“This school has not only been a cradle of knowledge but also a great center for character building. When I see my former students shining like bright stars in different fields across the world, my heart fills with pride.”
He particularly praised Engineer Tariq Babar President of the Alumni Association and the journalistic services of Shah Khalid Khan Hamdani highlighting their outstanding contributions.
Other respected teachers, including Pher Sher Alam, Fazl Rabbi, Sahibzada Laiq Saeed, Najm-ur-Rahman, and Irshad Shaheen, also addressed the audience. They expressed immense pride in the national and international achievements of their students, stating:
“The success of our students is our greatest wealth and the biggest blessing from Allah.”
The Alumni Association presented shields to all worthy teachers in acknowledgment of their selfless services, dedication, and contributions to shaping young lives. Emotions ran high as teachers received the shields, with smiles on their faces and tears in their eyes.
A special shield was awarded to Shah Khalid Khan Hamdani, Media Head of the District Council Public High School Alumni and Resident Editor of Sub News in the USA, for his outstanding journalistic achievements. Since he was in the United States, his younger brother Shah Faisal and his children — Anabia Khalid Shah, Halima Shah, and Fahad Khalid Shah — received the award on his behalf. The sight of the children holding the shield warmed the hearts of all attendees and symbolized the transmission of values across generations.
Shields were also presented to all members of the Core Committee, including Engineer Tariq Babar, DSO Siddiqullah, Professor Wajid Raza, Asif Iqbal, Asad Iqbal, Nigar Hussain Roghani, Inayatullah Wardag, Zakir Safi, Ata-ur-Rahman, Rashid Ahmed, Sahibzada Mazharuddin, Mufti Nisar, Arshad Khan, and other dedicated members, in recognition of their tireless efforts in making the program a success.
