Islamabad, August 6, 2026: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday and delivered a letter from Chinese President Xi Jinping expressing appreciation for the prime minister’s message on the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
During the meeting, the ambassador conveyed President Xi’s gratitude for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s congratulatory letter sent on the occasion of the CPC’s 105th founding anniversary.
The prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening its all-weather strategic cooperative partnership with China, highlighting the positive momentum in bilateral relations.
He underscored the importance of enhancing people-to-people contacts as well as expanding exchanges between the political parties and parliaments of the two countries to further deepen the longstanding friendship.
The two sides also discussed matters relating to bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on regional issues of mutual interest, reaffirming their commitment to continued close coordination and collaboration.
