Islamabad, August 15, 2026: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and destruction caused by a powerful earthquake that struck off Flores Island in eastern Indonesia.
On behalf of the people of Pakistan, the president extended heartfelt condolences to the families who lost loved ones and expressed solidarity with the government and people of Indonesia during the difficult time.
President Zardari said Pakistan stood ready to extend all possible assistance to Indonesia in the aftermath of the disaster.
He also prayed for the swift recovery of those injured in the earthquake and for strength for the affected families.
