Islamabad, August 21, 2026: The two-week COMSTECH–University of Wah training programme in cybersecurity, data analytics and cloud computing for Sudanese graduates concluded with a certificate-awarding ceremony at the University of Wah.

The ceremony was attended by University of Wah Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi, Coordinator General of OIC-COMSTECH Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Deputy Head of Mission and Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Sudan Eltayeb Mohammed Abdallatief, senior officials from both institutions, faculty members and the participating trainees.

The Sudanese engineers expressed their gratitude to OIC-COMSTECH and the University of Wah for providing specialised technical training and strengthening their professional capabilities.

Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi described the initiative as a form of Sadaqah Jariyah, saying its benefits would continue through the knowledge and skills imparted to the participants. He thanked Prof. Choudhary for selecting the University of Wah to host the programme.

Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary congratulated the Sudanese graduates on completing the training and appreciated the University of Wah for its academic support and hospitality.

He reaffirmed COMSTECH’s commitment to strengthening the professional and technical capacities of young people across OIC member states and promoting knowledge-based cooperation among member countries.

Speaking at the ceremony, Eltayeb Mohammed Abdallatief expressed gratitude to OIC-COMSTECH, the University of Wah and the Government of Pakistan for supporting Sudanese professionals.

He said specialised training in emerging fields such as cybersecurity, data analytics and cloud computing would enhance the technical capabilities of Sudanese professionals and enable them to contribute more effectively to the country’s reconstruction and development.

The Sudanese diplomat expressed hope that Pakistan-Sudan educational and technical cooperation would be expanded in the future to benefit a larger number of Sudanese students, engineers and researchers.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates were awarded to 17 Sudanese graduates who successfully completed the two-week training programme.
