Islamabad, August 30, 2026: President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday extended warm greetings to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the brotherly people of Türkiye on the occasion of the country’s Victory Day.
The President said Pakistan and Türkiye enjoyed a unique and enduring relationship, rooted in deep historical, religious and fraternal bonds as well as mutual support.
Recalling the Great Victory of August 30, 1922, as an important chapter in Türkiye’s history, President Zardari expressed confidence that the close and longstanding ties between Pakistan and Türkiye would continue to strengthen and expand in the years ahead.
He wished President Erdogan and the people of Türkiye continued peace, prosperity and success.
The President also reaffirmed the enduring spirit of friendship between the two brotherly countries, concluding with the message: “Long live Pakistan–Türkiye friendship.”
