Islamabad, November 25, 2024 – Pakistan and Belarus reinforced their economic and trade ties by signing several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during the Pakistan-Belarus Business Forum in Islamabad. The agreements aim to enhance bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, and technology.

Nutrifood & Pharmaceutical Company signed a five-year partnership agreement with Belarusian firm Belcut, focusing on collaborative ventures in the health and pharmaceutical sectors.

Shahzad Trade Links formalized agreements with Minsk Motor Plant for production supply and Belshina for tire distribution in Pakistan, facilitating the entry of Belarusian industrial products into the Pakistani market.

Federal Minister for Commerce Sardar Jam Kamal commended the enduring reputation of Belarusian tractors in Pakistan, emphasizing the potential to expand trade relations between the two nations. He highlighted the need for foreign investment in critical sectors, including energy, agriculture, and information and communication technology (ICT).

Both countries adopted a 2025-2027 roadmap that outlines actionable steps to deepen economic cooperation. This framework includes increasing the export of Pakistani products such as meat, dairy, and agricultural goods to Belarus. Additionally, the minister urged for the removal of trade barriers and emphasized regional connectivity through platforms like the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The agreements reflect Pakistan’s focus on fostering international partnerships to boost its economic development while diversifying its trade portfolio with Belarus.
