Islamabad, September 18, 2026: Ambassador of Türkiye Irfan Neziroğlu called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and discussed progress in bilateral cooperation and the preparations for upcoming institutional engagements.
The Turkish ambassador briefed Ishaq Dar on progress under various bilateral mechanisms aimed at advancing cooperation in a range of areas, following recent high-level interactions between the two countries.
Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further deepening engagement with Türkiye in key priority areas and stressed the need for relevant departments on both sides to closely coordinate preparations for the forthcoming Joint Commission and the 8th session of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
The two sides also exchanged views on the evolving regional situation.
The deputy prime minister underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remain the viable means of resolving issues and promoting lasting peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
