Islamabad, September 19,2026: Iran has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a mosque near a police centre in Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during Friday prayers, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of people.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei expressed condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the government and people of Pakistan.
Reaffirming Iran’s principled position against all forms of terrorism and violent extremism, Baghaei said that terrorist and violent acts targeting civilians and security personnel have no justification.
He also stressed the need for stronger cooperation and coordination among regional countries to effectively and consistently combat terrorism.
