Islamabad, September 23, 2026: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended his warmest felicitations to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the brotherly people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of their National Day.
The Prime Minister said Saudi Arabia’s remarkable journey of progress and transformation was a source of pride and admiration not only for the Saudi people but also for Pakistan.
He said that under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia continued to make impressive strides towards greater prosperity, modernization and innovation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan took immense pride in its historic and time-tested brotherhood with Saudi Arabia, rooted in faith, mutual trust and the abiding bond between the two peoples.
He said that under the patronage of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, this brotherhood was developing into an even stronger strategic partnership, underpinned by a shared commitment to peace, security and the unity of the Muslim Ummah.
He noted that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia had signed the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement and the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.
The Prime Minister also reiterated Pakistan’s strongest condemnation of the recent Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia, particularly the attempted drone attack targeting the Holy City of Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
He said any threat to the sanctity and security of the Haramain Sharifain deeply wounded the sentiments of Muslims across the world.
“Pakistan stands unwaveringly, shoulder to shoulder, with the Kingdom in safeguarding its sovereignty, security and the sanctity of Islam’s holiest sites,” he said.
On the occasion of Saudi National Day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif prayed that the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia brotherhood would continue to grow from strength to strength.
