New York, September 25, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Antigua and Barbuda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Barbuda Affairs E.P. Chet Greene on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
According to the Foreign Office, the two sides held cordial discussions on bilateral relations and expressed a shared desire to further strengthen ties and expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
The discussions covered cooperation in education, diplomatic training and other areas of mutual interest.
The two foreign ministers also discussed collaboration at multilateral forums, particularly the Commonwealth and the United Nations.
The two sides agreed to meet again at the forthcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), scheduled to be held in St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, in November 2026.
