Mansehra, November 27, 2024 – Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has announced the continuation of the sit-in in Islamabad.

Speaking at a press conference in Mansehra, Gandapur said, “We made a peaceful call for protest in Islamabad to demand our legitimate rights, but our party has faced severe oppression. PTI founder Imran Khan granted us permission to proceed to D-Chowk.”

He continued, “Imran Khan has made it clear that the sit-in will only end on his directive. Let it be known that this sit-in remains ongoing and under the authority of Imran Khan. During our protest, our people were fired upon, hundreds were martyred, many were injured, and thousands of our workers were arrested.”

The Chief Minister stressed that the sit-in is part of a larger movement. “This sit-in will persist until Imran Khan’s call. We are not receiving justice from the courts. We initiated a peaceful march for our rights, but our peaceful protest was met with violence. Had we not been subjected to such brutality, our people would not have retaliated.”

Gandapur outlined the challenges faced by PTI over the past two and a half years, stating, “Our party has been relentlessly oppressed. We are being denied justice in the courts. Our leader is imprisoned, and even his wife has been incarcerated.”

He further added, “Dozens of cases have been filed against me related to the events of May 9. Show me a single video that implicates me directly. If a provincial Chief Minister cannot receive justice, what hope does the common man have? A nation cannot be subdued by bullets. This province knows how to fight for its rights and its mandate.”
