Rawalpindi, October 13,2026: Funeral prayers for Major Husnain Shehzad Humayun Shaheed and Captain Abdul Samad Shaheed, who embraced martyrdom in a Mushak training aircraft crash near Nawan Killi, Quetta, on October 12, were offered at Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi, on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Commander National Strategic Command, senior civil and military officials, and relatives of the martyrs attended the funeral prayers, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The armed forces and the nation paid tribute to the two officers for their supreme sacrifice, courage, dedication and unwavering commitment to the country.
The ISPR said the officers would be laid to rest in their respective hometowns with full military honours.
