Islamabad, October 26,2026: Romanian Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Dan Stoenescu met with Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Romania and Pakistan, particularly through enhanced cooperation at the provincial level.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on exploring new trade opportunities, expanding economic ties, and promoting cultural exchanges between the two countries. Discussions also focused on strengthening linkages between local institutions and business communities to encourage greater economic engagement and promote mutual understanding.
Ambassador Stoenescu appreciated the meeting and thanked the Punjab Governor for his kind invitation to visit the province again. He expressed optimism about further expanding cooperation between Romania and Pakistan through increased engagement at the local and institutional levels.
The meeting underscored the importance of strengthening friendly relations and exploring new avenues of cooperation to promote trade, economic partnership, and people-to-people contacts between the two countries.
