Algiers, October 29,2026: Algeria has reiterated its unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their struggle to secure their legitimate national rights, reaffirming its longstanding solidarity with Palestine.
According to an official statement, Sofiane Chaib, Secretary of State to Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, received Palestinian Ambassador to Algeria Fayez Abu Aita at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.
The meeting reaffirmed the historic and fraternal ties between Algeria and Palestine and their peoples. Chaib reiterated Algeria’s principled position in support of the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people’s struggle to regain their legitimate and inalienable national rights.
During the meeting, Ambassador Abu Aita briefed the Algerian official on the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly the continued Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip and the resulting deterioration of the humanitarian situation.
The Palestinian ambassador expressed appreciation for Algeria’s positions and its continued efforts to support the Palestinian cause and defend Palestinian rights at international forums.
The meeting underscored the enduring solidarity between Algeria and Palestine, as well as Algeria’s commitment to diplomatic efforts in support of Palestinian rights at the international level.
