Damascus, December 8,2024: Armed individuals attacked the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, causing extensive damage and destruction to its property. According to Iranian news agencies, armed groups stormed the embassy, looting and vandalizing its premises.

Footage released by Al Arabiya News shows significant damage to the building and property of the Iranian Embassy in the Syrian capital. The incident occurred following an announcement by the Syrian Army command, notifying officers that President Bashar al-Assad’s government had collapsed.

Two Syrian military sources confirmed to Reuters that armed groups, led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, had entered Damascus. Following this development, President Bashar al-Assad reportedly fled the country on an aircraft to an undisclosed location.
