Islamabad, December 08,2024: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Barrister Gohar, has dismissed claims made by Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, regarding his release.

During an interview with a private TV channel, Barrister Gohar was asked about Aleema Khan’s statement mentioning negotiations with the government. In response, he stated, “I have had no contact with the government on or before November 24.” He further clarified that there had been no discussion with the government about meeting the PTI founder.

When questioned about Aleema Khan’s claim that Gohar had mentioned a timeline for Imran Khan’s release, he firmly denied it, saying, “I neither discussed nor mentioned anything about his release.”

He emphasized that the government never promised the release of the PTI founder within 20 days. He also dismissed claims of an agreement to end the sit-in in exchange for Khan’s release as baseless.

It is worth noting that Aleema Khan had previously told the media in Lahore that government officials, under pressure due to the ongoing convoys, had sent Barrister Gohar to meet Imran Khan in jail. According to her, the government had assured that Khan would be released within 20 days.
