Lahore, December 23, 2024: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled the pick order for the highly anticipated players draft of the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025. The draft will take place on January 11 in Gwadar, Balochistan, as the league celebrates a decade of cricketing excitement.

The Lahore Qalandars will have the first pick in the Platinum 1 category, granting them a strategic advantage in securing top-tier talent. They will be followed by Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators. Defending champions Islamabad United will make the final pick in the Platinum 1 round.

In the Platinum 2 category, the order will be reversed, with Islamabad United making the first selection, followed by the other franchises. Each of the six participating teams will pick three players from the Platinum, Diamond, and Gold categories, ensuring an equitable distribution of star power across all franchises.

The player draft is set for January 11, while the tournament itself will run from April 10 to May 25. For the first time in PSL history, the league will coincide with the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to Pakistan’s hosting obligations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in February and March.
