Names of the convicted persons for 9 May riots on SUB NEWS

Rawalpindi, December 26,2024: In light of the Supreme Court’s directives, 60 more individuals involved in the May 9, 2023, riots have been sentenced by the Field General Court Martial (FGCM). According to official statements, these sentences were issued following a thorough review of evidence, ensuring the provision of legal rights and adherence to due process.

Below is the complete list of convicts and their sentences:

  1. Hassan Khan Niazi (son of Hafeezullah Niazi): 10 years rigorous imprisonment for involvement in the Jinnah House attack.
  2. Mian Abad Farooq (son of Amanat Ali): 2 years rigorous imprisonment for the Jinnah House attack.
  3. Rais Ahmad (son of Shafiullah): 6 years rigorous imprisonment for the Jinnah House attack.
  4. Arzam Junaid (son of Junaid Razaq): 6 years rigorous imprisonment for the Jinnah House attack.
  5. Ali Raza (son of Ghulam Mustafa): 6 years rigorous imprisonment for the Jinnah House attack.
  6. Raja Danish (son of Raja Abdul Waheed): 4 years rigorous imprisonment for the GHQ attack.
  7. Syed Hassan Shah (son of Asif Hussain Shah): 9 years rigorous imprisonment for the GHQ attack.
  8. Ali Hussain (son of Khalil-ur-Rehman): 7 years rigorous imprisonment for the AIMH Rawalpindi attack.
  9. Zahid Khan (son of Muhammad Nabi): 2 years rigorous imprisonment for the Punjab Regiment Center, Mardan, attack.
  10. Sohrab Khan (son of Riaz Khan): 4 years rigorous imprisonment for the Dir Scouts Headquarters attack in Timergara.
  11. Brigadier (Retd.) Javed Akram (son of Chaudhry Muhammad Akram): 6 years rigorous imprisonment for the Jinnah House attack.
  12. Khurram Liaqat (son of Liaqat Ali Shahid): 4 years rigorous imprisonment for the Multan Cantt Check Post attack.
  13. Zakir Hussain (son of Shah Faisal): 7 years rigorous imprisonment for the Chitral Fort attack.
  14. Ameen Shah (son of Mushtir Khan): 9 years rigorous imprisonment for the Bannu Cantt attack.
  15. Faheem Sajid (son of Muhammad Khan): 8 years rigorous imprisonment for the PAF Base Mianwali attack.
  16. Hamza Sharif (son of Muhammad Azam): 2 years rigorous imprisonment for the Faisalabad ISI Office attack.
  17. Muhammad Arsalan (son of Muhammad Siraj): 7 years rigorous imprisonment for the Jinnah House attack.
  18. Muhammad Umair (son of Abdul Sattar): 6 years rigorous imprisonment for the Jinnah House attack.
  19. Nouman Shah (son of Mehmood Ahmad Shah): 4 years rigorous imprisonment for the Jinnah House attack.
  20. Ikramullah (son of Khanzada Khan): 9 years rigorous imprisonment for the Bannu Cantt attack.
  21. Muhammad Ahmed (son of Muhammad Nazir): 2 years rigorous imprisonment for the Rahwali Gate, Gujranwala, attack.
  22. Pirzada Mian Muhammad Ishaq Bhutta (son of Pirzada Mian Qamar-ud-Din Bhutta): 3 years rigorous imprisonment for the Multan Cantt Check Post attack.
  23. Muhammad Abdullah (son of Kanwar Ashraf Khan): 4 years rigorous imprisonment for the GHQ attack.
  24. Amjad Ali (son of Manzoor Ahmed): 2 years rigorous imprisonment for the Faisalabad ISI Office attack.
  25. Muhammad Raheem (son of Naeem Khan): 6 years rigorous imprisonment for the Jinnah House attack.
  26. Ehsanullah Khan (son of Najeebullah Khan): 10 years rigorous imprisonment for the PAF Base Mianwali attack.
  27. Muneeb Ahmed (son of Naveed Ahmed Butt): 2 years rigorous imprisonment for the Rahwali Gate, Gujranwala, attack.
  28. Muhammad Ali (son of Muhammad Boota): 2 years rigorous imprisonment for the Faisalabad ISI Office attack.
  29. Samiullah (son of Meer Dad Khan): 2 years rigorous imprisonment for the Bannu Cantt attack.

  48. Muhammad Waqas (son of Malik Muhammad Kaleem): 2 years rigorous imprisonment for the Rahwali Gate, Gujranwala, attack.
  49. Izzat Gul (son of Meer Dad Khan): 9 years rigorous imprisonment for the Bannu Cantt attack.
  50. Haider Majeed (son of Muhammad Majeed): 2 years rigorous imprisonment for the Jinnah House attack.
  51. Group Captain (Retd.) Waqas Ahmed Mohsin (son of Bashir Ahmed Mohsin): 2 years rigorous imprisonment for the Jinnah House attack.
  52. Muhammad Ilyas (son of Muhammad Fazal Haleem): 2 years rigorous imprisonment for the Dir Scouts Headquarters attack in Timergara.
  53. Muhammad Ayaz (son of Sahibzada Khan): 2 years rigorous imprisonment for the Gate FC Cantt Peshawar attack.
  54. Raees Ahmed (son of Khista Rehman): 4 years rigorous imprisonment for the Chitral Fort attack.
  55. Gohar Rehman (son of Gul Rehman): 7 years rigorous imprisonment for the Chitral Fort attack.
  56. Naik Muhammad (son of Nasrullah Jan): 9 years rigorous imprisonment for the Bannu Cantt attack.
  57. Fahad Imran (son of Muhammad Imran Shahid): 9 years rigorous imprisonment for the Faisalabad ISI Office attack.
  58. Sufyan Idrees (son of Idrees Ahmed): 2 years rigorous imprisonment for the Rahwali Gate, Gujranwala, attack.
  59. Rahimullah (son of Bayatullah): 9 years rigorous imprisonment for the Bannu Cantt attack.
  60. Khalid Nawaz (son of Hamid Khan): 9 years rigorous imprisonment for the Bannu Cantt attack.

The ISPR clarified that all cases have been concluded under relevant laws and that convicted individuals retain the right to appeal as guaranteed by the Constitution and legal framework.

“The nation, government, and armed forces remain steadfast in their commitment to justice and the inviolable authority of the state,” the statement concluded.
