Islamabad, January 1, 2025: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari extended heartfelt New Year greetings to the nation on Wednesday, expressing optimism for peace, progress, and prosperity in the year ahead.

In his New Year message, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said, “I pray that 2025 will be a year of immense happiness and good fortune for our beloved nation.” He emphasized the importance of starting the new year with renewed determination to build a stable and thriving future. “May the sun of 2025 rise with the promise of progress and prosperity for Pakistan,” he remarked.

The prime minister reflected on significant achievements in 2024, including improved economic indicators and strengthened international confidence in Pakistan. He highlighted the signing of investment agreements worth billions of rupees with friendly nations and the launch of major digitization initiatives.

“We officially unveiled the National Economic Transformation Plan, Uraan Pakistan, which demonstrates our commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable development,” he said. “As we enter 2025, our economy is on the path to self-reliance. We remain resolute in our mission to ensure a stable, bright, and prosperous future for all.”

Shehbaz Sharif also addressed global and regional challenges, condemning Israeli atrocities in Palestine and human rights violations in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed solidarity with the liberation struggles in these regions and called for their success.

The prime minister paid tribute to Pakistan’s security forces for their sacrifices in combating terrorism. “Our brave soldiers have laid down their lives for the security of this nation, and their sacrifices will forever be honored,” he said.

He urged the nation to uphold the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal by uniting for Pakistan’s development. “This country is a sacred trust from our forefathers. Let us pledge to protect, build, and advance it with dedication and resolve,” he added.

President Zardari’s Message

President Asif Ali Zardari also extended warm New Year wishes to the nation and the global community, expressing hope for peace, stability, and prosperity in 2025.

“The new year should symbolize a renewed commitment to unity, discipline, and hard work,” Zardari said. He emphasized the importance of empowering Pakistan’s youth and addressing the challenges faced by marginalized communities.

The president encouraged the nation to reflect on past achievements and shortcomings, learn from history, and move forward with determination. “Let us reaffirm our dedication to public service, peace, and stability,” he said, praying for a year of growth, harmony, and progress for Pakistan.

Both leaders called for collective efforts to overcome challenges and reaffirmed their commitment to steering Pakistan toward a brighter and more prosperous future.
