Sukkur, January 6, 2025: An Additional District and Sessions Judge has summoned Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in connection with the Greek boat tragedy, which claimed the lives of 75 Pakistani citizens.

The petitioner, in a plea, argued that the government’s negligence had led unemployed Pakistanis to resort to illegal methods of leaving the country. He emphasized that the erosion of the government’s authority was a key factor behind the tragedy. The petitioner also requested that a case be registered at the Rohri police station against government officials responsible for the negligence.

After hearing the initial arguments, the Additional District and Sessions Judge-II issued notices to the Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Interior Minister, and SSP Sukkur, summoning them to court on January 15 to address the petition related to the Greek boat tragedy.
