Lahore, January 11, 2025: Bangladesh has relaxed its visa restrictions for Pakistani citizens, making it easier for them to travel to the country.
The announcement was made by Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Mohammad Iqbal Khan, during his visit to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), where he addressed local business leaders.
In his speech, Ambassador Khan highlighted Lahore’s rich cultural heritage and the strong bond of affection between the people of Bangladesh and Pakistan. He emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of trade and economic ties.
“The Lahore Chamber of Commerce can play a pivotal role in boosting trade between Pakistan and Bangladesh,” Khan stated. “The people of Bangladesh have a deep respect for Pakistan, and it is crucial for both countries to enhance their economic and trade relations.”
Regarding the visa policy changes, the ambassador explained, “Bangladesh has simplified the visa application process for Pakistanis, and now citizens can apply for visas online.” This move is expected to ease travel and encourage both business and cultural exchanges between the two nations.
Mian Abu Zar Shad, President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce, welcomed the ambassador’s remarks and expressed optimism about growing trade relations. “We are keen to strengthen trade with Bangladesh and will send delegations to explore new opportunities soon,” he said.
This development underscores the increasing economic collaboration between Pakistan and Bangladesh, reflecting both nations’ commitment to fostering closer ties.
