Multan, January 12, 2025: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has stated that, for the first time in history, both the government and the opposition have openly acknowledged and praised his party’s contributions.

Speaking at a ceremony at Khair-ul-Madaris in Multan, Maulana Fazlur Rehman emphasized the importance of political engagement in safeguarding the belief in the finality of Prophethood. “This critical battle could not have been fought outside the realm of politics. Despite our limited representation in the National Assembly, we have remained steadfast in our mission,” he said.

Highlighting the challenges his party has faced, the JUI-F chief underscored the difficulty of holding Muslim rulers accountable to Islamic principles. He attributed the party’s success to the vision of its founding leaders, who integrated religious education with political activism.

“Criticism and questions are an inherent part of politics, but most of them are inconsequential,” Maulana Fazlur Rehman said, dismissing skepticism about his party’s strategies.

Reflecting on recent accomplishments, he remarked, “For the first time, both the rulers and the opposition are praising us. This time, a cleric successfully balanced on two sides and crossed the finish line.”

Maulana Fazlur Rehman also stressed the importance of reason and intellect in political discourse, calling them divine blessings. “Reason is one of Allah’s greatest gifts, but there are forces in the world determined to extinguish its light,” he warned.

He concluded by reiterating his party’s commitment to serving the nation and upholding Islamic values in political and social spheres.
