Quetta mine accident; all 12 bodies recovered as operation completes

Quetta: Rescue operation in Quetta mine accident has been completed. According to Chief Mines Inspector Abdul Ghani, the last body was recovered from the coal mine located in Sanjdi area of ​​​​Span Karez last night. The operation to recover the bodies of the workers killed in the mine accident was launched on the night of January 9.

In the accident that took place in the coal mine in Sanjdi area, 40 kilometers from Quetta, 12 workers were buried under the rubble. Of the deceased in the accident, 10 belonged to the Shangla district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The bodies of the deceased workers were sent to their native areas where they were buried. The search for a missing miner, Amanullah, was ongoing. The last body was also recovered from the mine last night, after which the operation was completed. All 12 workers who were buried under the rubble of the mine were killed.
