Rawalpindi, January 17, 2025: The Accountability Court, in a hearing held at Adiala Jail, announced its reserved verdict in the £190 million corruption case. PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan was sentenced to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment, while his wife, Bushra Bibi, received a 7-year sentence.

According to the detailed judgment, the court found corruption charges against Imran Khan to be proven beyond doubt. He was convicted of misuse of public funds and sentenced to 14 years in prison, along with a fine of Rs. 1 million. In the event of non-payment, Khan will serve an additional six months of imprisonment.

Bushra Bibi was also found guilty of aiding and abetting the crime. Under Section 10-A of the NAB Ordinance, she was sentenced to 7 years of rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs. 500,000. Failure to pay the fine will result in an additional three months in prison.

Furthermore, the court ordered the confiscation of Al-Qadir Trust University, directing that its control be transferred to the federal government.
