Lahore, January 18, 2025: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz met Japanese Ambassador Akamatsu Shoichi, where she accepted an invitation to visit Japan. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations, enhancing trade cooperation, and attracting Japanese investment in sectors such as agriculture, mining, IT, AI, robotics, and energy. Maryam expressed gratitude for Japan’s support during the 2022 floods and assured full facilitation and security for Japanese investors in Punjab.

Maryam highlighted Pakistan’s deep ties with Japan, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in various sectors. The Japanese Ambassador praised her developmental projects and commitment to public welfare, acknowledging her continuation of the Sharif family’s progressive agenda.

The Japanese Ambassador praised the Chief Minister for her development projects and public welfare initiatives. He also appreciated her efforts in advancing the public welfare agenda initiated by Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
