Mumbai, January 19, 2025 – Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor sustained minor injuries in an on-set accident while filming a sequence for his upcoming movie Mere Husband Ki Biwi in Mumbai. The incident occurred during the filming of a song sequence when vibrations from the sound system triggered a ceiling collapse.

Thankfully, no life-threatening injuries were reported, but several crew members were hurt. Choreographer Vijay Ganguly, who was leading the sequence, described the frightening moment, stating, “We were monitoring the sequence when suddenly the ceiling collapsed. Fortunately, it fell in parts, and we were shielded by a trough. If the entire ceiling had fallen, it could have been disastrous, but we are lucky that the injuries were not more severe.”

Alongside Kapoor, Ganguly himself was injured, and a camera attendant suffered a spine injury, while the director of photography (DOP) fractured his thumb. Ganguly also highlighted the issue of safety at older shooting locations, noting, “These old locations are frequently used for shoots, and while safety measures are typically in place, sometimes the location’s safety is not adequately checked before it’s made available for filming.”

‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’ is a romantic comedy featuring Kapoor alongside Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh. The film is produced under the banner of Jackky Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment, with Mudassar Aziz directing.
