Mumbai, February 4, 2025: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan made his first public appearance since the violent stabbing incident last month, expressing gratitude for his recovery.

Attending a Netflix event in Mumbai on Monday to promote his upcoming heist thriller, Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, the 54-year-old actor appeared with a cast and a bandage on his neck. Addressing the audience, he remarked:
“It’s wonderful to be standing here in front of you, and it’s great to be here.”

On January 16, at around 2:30 AM, an intruder entered Khan’s residence and confronted his housekeeper. Stepping in to protect his family and staff, the actor suffered multiple stab wounds, including a serious injury to his thoracic spinal cord.

He was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai, where he underwent emergency surgery to remove a 2.5-inch knife lodged in his spine and repair a spinal fluid leak.

The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Akash Kanojia, was apprehended days later on a train in Chhattisgarh. However, law enforcement continues to investigate the case, with Kanojia’s true identity now under question following new developments on January 19.

Despite the harrowing experience, Saif Ali Khan’s return to the public eye signals a strong recovery, as he prepares to resume his professional commitments while continuing rehabilitation.
