Lahore, February 7, 2025: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz met with Punjab Assembly members from Faisalabad, Chiniot, Toba Tek Singh, and Jhang to discuss national affairs, Punjab’s development, and public welfare initiatives.
During the meeting, Nawaz Sharif underscored that honest leadership and sincere efforts bring divine support, stressing that serving humanity is the highest form of worship. He highlighted the country’s improving economic trajectory, citing a decline in inflation and rising investor confidence.
“The stock market, which once stood at 30,000 points, has now crossed 120,000 points—this is a clear sign of economic revival,” he remarked, emphasizing that sustained growth is essential for improving public welfare.
Expressing gratitude that Pakistan’s economic downturn had been curbed, Nawaz Sharif credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his relentless efforts in institutional and systemic reforms. He also commended Maryam Nawaz’s leadership, stating that she has successfully upheld the PML-N’s legacy of service and development as Punjab’s chief minister.
“Maryam has demonstrated dynamic leadership, proving that Punjab’s future is in capable hands,” he noted.
Punjab Assembly members lauded CM Maryam Nawaz’s commitment to governance, highlighting her impactful initiatives, including clean Punjab initiative, Kisan Card, Scholarship programs, road infrastructure development, Dhi Rani program and upgradation of primary and rural healthcare centers.
He praised Maryam’s ability to restore public trust and confidence through transformative policies.
“You have emerged as the hardworking leader Punjab needed, and we are proud of your dedication,” the assembly members stated.
In response, CM Maryam Nawaz reaffirmed that public service remains the core identity of Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, and the PML-N. She emphasized that unity and visionary leadership are the driving forces behind Pakistan’s progress.
“Pakistan moves forward under PML-N’s leadership, and we will continue to prioritize the people’s welfare,” she asserted.
The meeting also included discussions on future political strategies and upcoming public welfare initiatives. Senior party leaders, including Senator Pervaiz Rashid, Rana Sanaullah, Senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, and Rashid Nasrullah, were also in attendance.
