Over 19,000 parents decline polio vaccination for children in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Peshawar, February 17, 2025: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, more than 19,000 parents have refused to allow their children to receive polio vaccination drops.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has released the details of the recent anti-polio campaign conducted from February 3 to 8. The initiative set out to vaccinate over 6.47 million children, with 5.97 million children successfully receiving the polio drops. Additionally, the Health Department reported that 97,743 children were absent from their homes during the campaign and, as a result, were unable to receive the vaccine.
