Dubai, March 15, 2025: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) embassy in Tel Aviv hosted an Iftar banquet attended by senior Israeli political figures, including Knesset representatives and government officials.
The event, held during the holy month of Ramadan, saw the participation of Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, Israeli National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi, and other key political figures.
This gathering follows a recent Iftar ceremony in the UAE, where Israeli Ambassador Amir Hayek was hosted by Sultan Al Neyadi, the UAE Minister of State for Youth Affairs.
The UAE’s continued diplomatic engagement with Israel comes amid ongoing military actions in Gaza and Lebanon, Israeli airstrikes in Syria, and a worsening humanitarian crisis affecting nearly 2.5 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Despite widespread criticism from across the Muslim world over Israel’s actions, the UAE has maintained its relations with Tel Aviv since the signing of the Abraham Accords in 2020, which normalized ties between the two nations.
