Vehari, April 15, 2025: A light aircraft crashed near the Ratta Tibba area in Punjab’s Vehari district on Tuesday, but fortunately, no casualties were reported.
According to local authorities, the aircraft went down near Anwar Abad. Both pilots on board managed to eject and parachute to safety before the crash. Police confirmed that neither pilot sustained injuries.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. Authorities have launched an investigation to examine potential technical faults or operational issues that may have led to the incident.
Emergency response teams were promptly dispatched to the site, and the area has been cordoned off for further assessment. This marks the second such incident involving a light aircraft in the region in recent weeks, raising concerns over aviation safety standards and aircraft maintenance practices in the private sector.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched a full investigation, examining flight data, potential mechanical failure, and witness testimonies. The probe is currently ongoing.
