Islamabad, October 15,2024- The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has once again extended the deadline for filing income tax returns, now allowing taxpayers until October 31 to submit their returns.
Initially, the deadline for filing income tax returns was set for September 30, but FBR extended it by 15 days, pushing it to October 14. With this latest extension, taxpayers now have until the end of October to file their returns.
According to the FBR statement, the decision to extend the deadline was made in response to requests from traders’ associations and tax bar associations, as well as considering bank holidays. The extension has been granted under Section 214A of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001, allowing individuals and businesses more time to comply with tax filing requirements.
