Lahore, November 8, 2024- Joint Investigation Teams (JITs) have concluded their investigations into the May 9 arson and violence incidents, finding prominent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, including Fawad Chaudhry, Aleema Khan, and Uzma Khan, guilty, according to recent reports.
The findings, submitted to the court, outline the investigations into the widespread violence and property damage that followed the arrest of Imran Khan on May 9. The court has summoned all accused to present their final arguments.
Meanwhile, the court extended the interim bail for all accused until December 7 and granted a one-day exemption from appearance to Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan. ATC Judge Arshad Javed, who presided over the hearing, emphasized that this would be the last such exemption.
During the hearing, the prosecution noted that several accused individuals have pending cases in Rawalpindi and Islamabad courts. Fawad Chaudhry and other accused, including Ms. Muzammil Masood Bhatti, appeared before the court.
The next step will be the presentation of final arguments by the defense.
