Karachi, January 31, 2025: Syed Zulfiqar Shah, the Sindh Minister for Culture, Tourism, Antiquities, and Archives, inaugurated the exclusive Tourism Pavilion of the Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDR Ethiopia) at the Pakistan Travel Mart 2025 (PTM) in Karachi on Friday.
Upon the Minister’s arrival at the pavilion, Ibrahim Khalid Tawab, the Honorary Consul of FDR Ethiopia in Karachi, along with the Embassy staff, warmly welcomed him.
During the event, the Minister commended the flourishing tourism industry of Ethiopia, which has thrived under the leadership of Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed. He also noted that the establishment of the Ethiopian Pavilion at the Pakistan Travel Mart was a testament to the growing bilateral relations between the two countries.
Honorary Consul Ibrahim Khalid Tawab emphasized that the FDR Ethiopia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan share strong and enduring bilateral relations built on mutual respect and common values.
The Ethiopian Embassy’s pavilion, which will be on display until February 2, represents Ethiopia’s rich and diverse culture, ancient traditions, and a modernized tourism industry that has been significantly transformed under the leadership of Dr. Abiy Ahmed.
The PTM is an annual event in Pakistan that brings together various countries and organizations to promote their cultures, tourism, and products.
