Karachi, February 3, 2025: Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trend, rising by Rs200 per tola to reach a new high of Rs292,400, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association (APGJA).
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also increased by Rs172, reaching Rs250,685.
This latest hike follows a Rs400 jump on February 1, which had pushed the per tola price to Rs292,200 at the end of last week’s trading session. The surge is primarily driven by record-high global gold prices, which have now reached $2,800 per ounce.
Industry experts attribute the ongoing increase to rising international demand, a weaker local currency, and economic uncertainties, which continue to fuel gold’s appeal as a safe-haven asset.
