Karachi, February 3, 2025: Renowned drama artist Nadia Afgan firmly believes that art knows no boundaries, sharing her desire to collaborate with the Indian film industry.
“As an actor, I’m convinced that art transcends borders. If given the opportunity, I’d love to work in Indian films,” she said. “Their industry produces incredible work, and they have some outstanding talent.”
Nadia, renowned for her role in the iconic sitcom Shashlik, has captivated audiences through performances in popular dramas such as Afsar Bekar E Khaas, Radd, Suno Chanda, Kabli Pulao, and Kala Doriya. She is currently receiving praise for her role in Jafaa and Tan Man Neel o Neel, where she portrays Sehar Khan’s mother.
During a recent talk show appearance, Nadia discussed receiving acting offers from India and shared her views on cross-border collaborations. She expressed her openness to working across the border and revealed she had previously received offers for Indian Punjabi films, but circumstances prevented her from pursuing them at the time.
“Things didn’t align back then—there were a few issues, and my father’s health took priority. I hope I’ll have the chance in the future,” she shared.
Nadia also spoke fondly of her friendship with Indian actress Sonam Bajwa, whom she admires deeply.
“Sonam is not only my favorite actress but also a dear friend. She once recreated a scene from Suno Chanda, which sparked a heartfelt exchange and solidified our friendship. Indian artists have great respect for Pakistani talent,” she added.
