Islamabad, February 9, 2025: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi to discuss the evolving situation in the Middle East and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Both leaders condemned proposals to displace the people of Gaza, calling them distressing and unjust.
Foreign Minister Dar reaffirmed that Palestinian land rightfully belongs to the Palestinian people and emphasized that the two-state solution, based on UN Security Council resolutions, remains the only viable and just resolution to the conflict.
He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
Additionally, Dar conveyed Pakistan’s support for convening an emergency meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation
