New York, September 12, 2024: – Ambassador Munir Akram, the Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, called on H.E. Mr. Philemon Yang at the UN headquarters and felicitated him on his assumption of the Presidency of the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly.

Ambassador Munir Akram discussed the agenda of the 79th Session with the President of the General Assembly and assured him of Pakistan’s cooperation during his term.

  While talking to Mr. Philemon Yang, Ambassador Munir said that as the world faces multiple complex crises, we welcome PGA’s focus on sustainable economic growth, peace and security and human dignity, which are the fundamental pillars of the UN Charter.

He said Pakistan is confident that the United Nations will succeed in addressing the global challenges under his wise leadership. The President of the UN General Assembly thanked Ambassador Munir Akram for his warm felicitations.
