Mumbai, March 14, 2025: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan surprised the media on the eve of his 60th birthday by introducing his girlfriend of 18 months, Gauri Spratt, at a casual meet-and-greet event in Mumbai.
During the interaction, Aamir shared that he and Gauri first met 25 years ago but lost touch over time. However, they reconnected a couple of years ago and have been together since. “See, tum logon ko pata nahi lagne diya na maine” (I didn’t let you guys find out), he joked with the journalists.
Gauri, who previously lived in Bengaluru, has been married before and has a six-year-old son. Aamir revealed that his family and children have met Gauri and are thrilled about their relationship. He also mentioned that he has taken steps to prepare her for the chaotic world of showbiz, even arranging private security for her peace of mind.
As a parting note, Aamir made a nostalgic reference to his 2001 blockbuster Lagaan, quipping:
“Bhuvan ko uski Gauri mil hi gayi” (Bhuvan has finally found his Gauri).
Aamir was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares two children, Junaid and Ira. He later married Kiran Rao, with whom he has a son, Azaad. Although they parted ways a few years ago, they continue to remain close friends and even collaborated last year on Kiran’s film Laapataa Ladies.
The actor also hinted at a possible on-screen reunion with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, stating that they are open to working together whenever the right script comes along.
Aamir, who turned 60 on Friday, kicked off his birthday celebrations with this surprise announcement, leaving fans and media abuzz with excitement.
