The Asian Development Bank (ADB) approves $320 million loan for Pakistan.

Islamabad (IPS): The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a loan of $320 million for Pakistan. According to the ADB, this amount will be used to restore approximately 900 kilometres of rural roads that were damaged by floods. The Asian Development Bank stated that this will promote economic growth and improve access to markets, education, and healthcare facilities, providing employment opportunities for millions of people.

According to the ADB, under this project, research will be conducted on flood and landslide risks, and assistance will be provided for road maintenance for tourism, which will improve the sustainability of the region’s road network.
