Pakistan and UAE Strengthen Strategic Partnership in Key Sectors

Dubai, September 13, 2024- Pakistan’s Ambassador to United Arab Emirates Faisal Niaz Tirmizi held a highly productive meeting today with H.E. Mohamed Al Hawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Investment, UAE, to review the progress of the seven Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed between Pakistan and the UAE. The agreements cover a wide range of sectors, including energy, agriculture, infrastructure development, finance, and technology.

Both sides acknowledged significant progress in implementing the MoUs, highlighting the positive impact on the economies of both countries. The meeting comes amidst a backdrop of growing diplomatic exchanges between the leadership of Pakistan and the UAE, which have further strengthened the strategic partnership.

Ambassador Tirmizi and Undersecretary Al Hawi expressed optimism about the future trajectory of bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration at the highest levels. The meeting also explored avenues to enhance trade and investment ties, focusing on expanding trade volumes and identifying new areas of mutual interest.

Both officials stressed the need to promote joint ventures, ease of doing business, and private sector engagement to maximize economic cooperation. They reaffirmed their commitment to building a robust and dynamic partnership that fosters prosperity and development for both nations.

The meeting underscores the deepening of Pakistan-UAE relations and sets the stage for further economic collaboration in key sectors.
