Islamabad, March 18, 2025: Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi announced that the Jaffar Express will resume operations from today after the successful restoration of the railway track damaged in a recent attack.

Speaking to reporters outside Parliament House in Islamabad, the minister highlighted efforts to enhance railway security, particularly in Balochistan. He stated that the government will introduce drone surveillance for train operations in the province and is installing CCTV cameras at railway stations and other sensitive locations nationwide.

The Jaffar Express, a crucial passenger train service, had been suspended following an attack on the railway infrastructure. With the track now fully restored, regular operations will resume as scheduled.

Minister Hanif Abbasi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving railway security and efficiency, ensuring safe and uninterrupted train services for passengers across Pakistan.
