Islamabad, March 27, 2025: Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Irfan Neziroğlu, led a humanitarian initiative in Islamabad, distributing 200 food packages at the Islamabad Press Club as part of a Ramadan relief effort. The initiative, organized by the Diyanet Foundation Türkiye in collaboration with IHH Türkiye, underscores the deep and enduring ties between Türkiye and Pakistan.

Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Neziroğlu reaffirmed Türkiye’s unwavering commitment to supporting Pakistan, especially during times of need.

“The relationship between Pakistan and Türkiye is built on love, brotherhood, and mutual respect. Türkiye remains dedicated to strengthening cooperation in defense, education, and media for the long-term benefit of both nations,” he stated.

The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Counselor for Religious Affairs Dr. Abdurrahman Akkuş, Dr. Alam Khan, and key members of the National Press Club (NPC). NPC President Azhar Jatoi, Senior Vice President Ehtisham-ul-Haq, and Vice President Shah Muhammad also participated, expressing gratitude for Türkiye’s consistent humanitarian support.

For over 25 years, IHH Türkiye has been actively involved in Pakistan’s humanitarian and relief efforts, focusing on poverty alleviation, sustainable development, and social welfare. The food distribution initiative in Islamabad is part of Diyanet Foundation’s extensive Ramadan program, which spans 22 cities across Pakistan, delivering essential aid to underprivileged communities.

NPC President Azhar Jatoi proposed post-Eid training programs for journalists to strengthen media ties between the two nations, a key area of focus in Ambassador Neziroğlu’s address.

Senior Vice President Ehtisham-ul-Haq lauded Türkiye’s proactive role in aiding Pakistan, noting that it was the first country to assist during crises. He also highlighted Türkiye’s scholarship program benefiting over 200 Pakistani students, fostering educational collaboration between the two countries.

Through this initiative, IHH Türkiye and the Diyanet Foundation reaffirm their commitment to humanitarian outreach in Pakistan, ensuring that the longstanding friendship between Türkiye and Pakistan continues to thrive through meaningful cooperation and goodwill initiatives.
